Health Services
The Mount Holyoke Health Services offers inpatient and outpatient
medical and nursing services. Our team of health care providers
includes a physician, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a
nutritionist, a physical therapist, and licensed laboratory and X-ray

Counseling Services
Students come to Counseling Services for a wide range of needs and
concerns. Counseling Services provides short-term individual therapy,
referral for longer-term therapy, consultation, group therapy, and
psychiatric evaluation and treatment to MHC students free of charge. More...
Public Safety
Public Safety—the first college or university department to be awarded
accreditation by the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Committee,
Inc.—provides police services for the community as well as many other
security services such as lockouts, emergency medical treatment, and
on-campus medical transportation. Our officers patrol the campus 24
hours a day. In addition, the department conducts programs for the MHC
community on topics such as self defense, CPR, personal safety, and

Disability Services
Mount Holyoke offers services on an individual basis to students with
special needs. The institution is guided by its “Policy on Human
Rights," which is designed to protect the rights of all community
members and promote diversity. Mount Holyoke recognizes its obligation
to provide reasonable accommodations for all individuals with special
needs so that they may participate as fully as possible in the

Student Programs The Office of Student Programs supports a variety of student organizations and presents a wide array of cultural,
entertainment, and social events. Our professional staff is available for
advising on event planning, new ideas, leadership skills, and general
student organization dynamics. Our office manages the Blanchard Campus
Center and other facilities, and we coordinate Family and Friends Weekend and the

Ombudsperson
The Ombuds office at Mount Holyoke College officially opened in 1988 to
ensure that every member of the MHC community receives fair and
equitable treatment. The ombudsperson provides support and assistance
to students, staff, and faculty. Our services are independent and
confidential. The ombudsperson is empowered to investigate complaints
and to facilitate, mediate, conciliate, or negotiate their fair
