Completed in 2003, the Science Center supports Mount Holyoke's
longstanding commitment to women in science. Its interconnected
classrooms and labs are outfitted with advanced scientific
instrumentation—such as spectrometers and DNA sequencing equipment—that

Mount Holyoke's library has more than 740,000 volumes and more than
1,600 periodical subscriptions. It's part of the Five College Library
Consortium, which has a combined catalog of more than eight million
