(Almost) Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Mount Holyoke
Mount Holyoke College is a highly-selective liberal arts college with a global reputation for educating women who change the world. That’s the formal definition. To really get a taste of Mount Holyoke’s energy and excellence, take our Virtual Tour. Be sure to take a look at our Fast Facts  and check out our fascinating history.

Mount Holyoke offers 49 departmental and interdepartmental majors, including an option to design your own, and just as many minors. As for extracurriculars, we’ve got a range of student organizations, intercollegiate sports, club sports, arts galore, and when you add in the resources at the other colleges in the Five College Consortium, your options go from very to vastly interesting.

Step Beyond the Virtual: An Invitation
The Mount Holyoke campus is scenic and inspiring and—yes, there’s more!—home to 2,100 talented, dynamic women from around the globe. Throughout the year, you can tour the campus and have an interview. During the academic year, you also have the opportunity to visit classes, meet faculty and coaches, stay overnight in a residence hall, and experience Mount Holyoke’s academic, social, and leadership opportunities. It’s all here—and you’re invited.

Start Your Application
The first step is to determine which kind of applicant you are. If you’re just finishing high school in the U.S. and are younger than age 24, you qualify to apply for first-year admission. If you have credit from another college and are younger than age 24, you may apply for transfer admission. If you’re over age 24, are married, or have a dependent, you should apply as a Frances Perkins Scholar. If you reside outside the United States, you may apply as an international student.

As for deadlines, they vary by application type. Be sure to check the consolidated deadlines before you begin. You also might be interested in our testing policies and how we read applications.

Getting to Know You: The Interview
Mount Holyoke recommends a personal interview, and we suggest combining your interview with your campus tour. Interviews last about 30 minutes. If you cannot visit campus, you may schedule an off-campus interview with an admission director traveling to your area or with an alumnae admission representative.

If you’re wondering what else you should be doing—as if applying to college isn’t enough!—our advice is pretty simple. Just keep on. Keep on doing the things that make you an exceptional student. Keep on excelling academically. Keep on pursuing your interests. If you’ve been thinking about trying something new, why not now?  Challenge yourself. Explore the world around you. Whatever the future holds for you, Mount Holyoke College hopes you’ll keep reaching high.
