Registration/ISIS
Dear New Student,
Registration for Spring semester 2009 for new students entering the College happens in multiple stages. New students usualy pre-register in November through ISIS, our Internet Student Information System and then adjust their course registrations as needed, once they arrive on campus in January. Some students may arrive on campus in January with no pre-registrations and, after meeting with an advisor, will register for the first time.
November pre-registration for spring entrants begins Thursday, November 20 and ends Tuesday, November 25 at midnight, EST. Students have individual start times on November 20, so check the ISIS "Approvals, Holds, and Registration Access Time" after November 1 for your start time. You may not use ISIS to pre-register before this start date/time nor after the end date. January registration and add/drop for Spring entrants starts Friday, January 23 at 9am EST.
In order to access ISIS and register for classes, you must log on to ISIS by using your 'user name/email ID' and 'password'. You were sent this information by our admission office in November this year. If you are in need of assistance regarding your user name/email ID, please contact my office at registrar@mtholyoke.edu. It is highly recommended that you visit the appropriate Course Selection/Curriculum Course Guide(s) prior to beginning the registration process."

To prepare for pre-registration, you should also login to ISIS, select "Inform Your Advisor" from the "For Students" menu, select the 2008 year and answer the few brief questions related to your Summer Activities for the past Summer. You will, of course, have other opportunities to share information with your advisor, but this ensures your summer activities are noted with all other students'. You will not be able to pre-register until you have answered the summer activities questions, so please take care of this before your pre-registration time begins.

If you have questions regarding the use of the online registration system, please call the Office of the Registrar, 413-538-2025, or email the Registrar. If you are unable to preregister via ISIS, please do not panic. Just send your course selections to the Registrar's Office and we will work with you on an individual basis.
