Arts Community
At Mount Holyoke, the arts are an essential part of our liberal arts curriculum. Working closely with nationally recognized arts professionals and scholars, Mount Holyoke students develop their creative talents while learning to think and read critically, and to speak and write well—abilities that make them successful throughout their lives.
Whether you sing, paint, dance, act, write poetry, or enjoy going to plays, concerts, films, and art exhibitions, there's a place in the Mount Holyoke arts community for you.
Art Museum The Mount Holyoke College Art Museum is one of the oldest teaching museums in the country. Its comprehensive permanent collection of more than 14,000 objects supports classes in all eras of art history. The museum also presents critically acclaimed exhibitions of challenging, provocative work by contemporary artists.
